Ratnapuri Vidyalaym is located in lush green rural environment, meant for the children of industrial employees, marginal farmers, and farm labourers. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the medium of instruction is English. 

The school starts at 8 Am with assembly and ends with games and on completion of homework under the alert guidance of teachers. Students do not carry their books home.
